On June 10th a transient purposefully set fire to the bush outside my shop with a lighter at 3am. The flames immediately went into the eve and filled my shop with smoke.

The insurance company deemed everything a loss due to the fact that my products are purchased by immune compromised woman all over the world. Their health and welfare are the most important thing to us.

My initial plan was to destroy each of the wigs as I wanted to protect those who are immune compromised.

However, once the insurance company pays for a loss, they became the owners of those items and could do with them what they chose. They chose to sell them to a big box store.

It crushed my spirit and I just couldn't let it happen. I would much rather have the ability to bless those who are not immune compromised with a beautiful Like New Belle Tress wig. Rather than take the money, I chose to buy them back.

Thankfully the wigs were in boxes which kept them pretty sealed, however the boxes were in a smoky building.

We have checked the wigs and they do not smell of smoke.
